National Monument

The National Monument of Malaysia was constructed to commemorate the soldiers who have defended the sovereignty of the country.  First proposed in 1963 it was unveiled in 1966 with a central statue by American sculptor Felix de Weldon.  The grounds also have fountains, a pavilion, memorial and neighbouring gardens.

Just through the entrance is an obelisk, and the pavilion is behind.
