Being a religious centre there are many temples in the town of various sizes.  Below are a few of the pictures we could take.  There was one we saw where you entered via a narrow tunnel which went underground and there were three small chambers. The tunnels were quite narrow so it was almost an act of faith to enter.  It was said to be the place where Sita and Ram lived.

The man dressed in orange is a Sadhu, a person who has forsaken all property and travels in search of enlightenment and lives off the goodwill of others.  They are a common sight throughout India but even more so in religious places like Nasik.

Try that one at home!

A bit of basket making.
